An Old Seaman’s prayer
It is those night shadows I fear
most.
It is the pirate’s cry through the
nigh
that sends shivers up my spine.
For the pirate is strong and fierce.
Within the shadows I see me scared
Within the shadows I run to flee the
pirate’s wrath.
For I committed crimes and violated
trusts
For I steal futures and leach on
happiness.
Yet inside there is this warmth this
fire
old disfigured Frik is nursing and Abdulah
alike.
For it is neigh a crime nor is a
cheat.
For it is my mortal soul seeking
life ablaze.
Cleansing salt water, Bright Aegean
Light,
brother seagull protect us, for the
pirate is merciless.
For the pirate shows no compassion
and knows no love.
For the pirate only knows sorrow,
blood and steel.
Poor Abulah, sing you may your happiness
Poor old Frik ink you may your body
For it the saddest of songs that
make the sweetest tunes
For it is merciless time that govern
us all.
I am the son of the pirate!
I hold the pirate within me.
For I tear my soul day and night
with my wrath.
For I kill myself every day with my
dagger.
Abdulah – Frik embraced together.
Is it the pirates wrath that we fear
? Neigh !
For this fire burning inside is
soothing uniting.
For the memories are sweet and
alive.
Brother Marabou, Brother Dominico,
Brother Isaak
I call upon thee your mortal
servant.
Forgive me for I stole of happiness
for I deprive of futures. For I felt
alive.
Brother Marabou for I hate none in
this mortal world
Fear I of ones dagger – and cry.
Brother Dominico draw my pain and
despair.
Brother Isaak force my dagger into
my soul and protect her.
Son of a Pirate for Frik & Abdulah
