A Nail's Shadow
A nail casts it's shadow over old flaking paint.
It looks so dominating in this small world.
Yet it takes for just a hammer to cast it's shadow
upon the nail to dwarf it's short lived glory.
It's all a matter of scale !
In the cosmos man is dwarfed ...
Like cosmic dust, infinitesimally small,
is blown away to an eternal cycle of learning.
It's all a matter of scale !
In his micro-cosmos man is grandiose ...
Like cosmic dust, infinitesimally small,
he shall be blown away to an eternal cycle of knowledge.
An eternal cycle of learning and knowledge.
Eternity is a curse in human terms.
Man is and should remain mortal.
Knowledge, kindness and love are immortal.
God help us find our scale ...
Like cosmic dust, infinitesimally small,
blow us closer to you and spare us
from the eternal mortal cycle.

Τελικά δεν χρειάζεται τίποτε περισσότερο από την σκιά ενός σφυριού για να εκμηδενιστεί η παντοδυναμία της σκιάς του καρφιού στον μικρόκοσμό του.
Χρειάστηκαν μόνο μερικές ώρες ηφαιστειακής δραστηριότητας για να προκληθεί χάος στον κόσμο. ακόμα και τα οικονομικά μοντέλα ανάπτυξης μάλλον θα αλλάξουν ..
"Πράγματι ο άνθρωπος είναι πλέον αρκετά δυνατός και έχει κυριαρχήσει στο περιβάλλον του".
Δεν ξέρω ποιος είπε τέτοιες ανοησίες αλλά όποιος και να ήταν καλά θα κάνει να ανασκευάσει.
